Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback, it is much appreciated and really does help us to improve the service we offer to our patients.

I'm so sorry to have kept you waiting for your recent appointment, sometimes all it takes is for the first couple of patients to arrive a couple of minutes late and it has a knock on effect to our whole day. Weybridge has been experiencing problems with traffic congestion due to roadworks in the last few weeks, and many patients have arrived late because of this, we work hard to try and accommodate patients wherever we can. Huge apologies if this inconvenienced you in any way, we hate to keep our patients waiting as we understand their time is precious.

With regards to your treatment, your dentist, Eben van der Walt will give you a call at some point today to explain in more detail. However, it is not a Dental Nurse that he recommended for your fillings, but a Dental Therapist.

We are lucky enough to have 2 Dental Therapists at Portmore who are qualified & experienced in carrying out tooth coloured restorations for our patients. The reason for your referral would primarily be that 1) You will be seen quicker by our Therapist, 2) The fee will be reduced as they run on a lower hourly rate than the dentist. The Therapists often carry out more straightforward restorations for most of our patients.

We decided to offer this service to our patients in order that the dentists concentrate on more complex dentistry, it means for example that if you were to require a root canal treatment or more extensive treatment at short notice, Eben would always be able to see you within a few days.

We are happy for Eben to carry out this treatment should you wish and he will call you today to discuss in more detail.
